Well this is the first weekend without a Civil War block to do since the beginning of 2011. It was such a bummer to wake up yesterday and not have a block to check for. I still have to select my sashing for those blocks, and then get it finished up and quilted.
In other news, my cold is slowly getting better (I think). There are football games to watch today, and a quilt to work on … better head in there and get to work!
Quilting Gallery is supposed to post a massive list of new quiltalongs either today or tomorrow. Waiting....waiting....
ReplyDeleteI have had the same withdrawal, I wanted to jump out of bed Saturday morning and go check Barbara'a blog. As your earlier comment said, I'll check Quilting Gallery and see what they have listed. If you hear of anything interesting, let me know. I thought of "It Just Takes 2" but didn't care for the first blocks.
ReplyDeleteI didn't start on the Barbara Brackman series until November (!) and I got all of the blocks done in one month and I'm wishing there were just three more different ones to have 56 different blocks! I'm going to attempt to design a Confederate flag block to go along with the New York block and put them at opposite corners! I can't wait for the book to come out!
