One-Patch Doll Quilt 11/9/2012

Finished up the One-Patch Doll Quilt this evening.  This is another one of the great little quilts from Kathy Tracy’s book, The Civil War Sewing Circle.  It’s about 25” square.  Not sure where I’ll be hanging this one yet!   I got the kit from my favorite shop, Good Wives Co. in Marion, Ohio.

And here’s a closer look at the three borders.

  1. Very nice block Amy! That's one Kathleen Tracy book I don't have... oh great, now I will be checking Amazon.com and adding it to my wish list! Love the three borders and the quilting you did in each!

    1. Oh my goodness Kindred ... You definitely have to get The Civil War Sewing Circle book by Kathy Tracy. I have done almost every project in the book - I'm serious. I've never purchased a book and done so many of the projects EVER. It helped that one of my favorite shops, Good Wives Co. in Marion, Ohio, had kitted up several of the projects in the book - so I purchased the book and several kits. Then I was back over there and purchased a few more, then a couple more. I've got a few of them quilted already, but a few are still waiting to be put on the longarm! Ask Santa to put that book under the tree for you!

  3. Very nice mini and the quilting is outstanding. I also think that Civil War Quilting Circle is Kathleen's best book of the series, but then I like them all.

    1. Thanks Betty Lou. I think I'm partial to the Civil War Sewing Circle book because that's the first one that I purchased ... the one that kind of introduced me to some of the smaller quilts .. and the one that sort of introduced me to Kathy Tracy.
