Woo Hoo!! – More pot holder quilt kits

Celebrated our 20th. anniversary on Wednesday by doing a little shopping.  Of course that meant hitting my favorite quilt shop, Good Wives Co.  I have been having so much fun with the pot holder kits, that I decided to go ahead and invest in the rest of the kits.  So to recap this whole adventure – the first time I saw the pot holder quilt there, I bought four kits to do four blocks, and figured I’d do a table runner.  The next time I went over there they were having a sale on the kits, so I bought 4 more – modifying my plan from a table runner to a wall hanging.  But now that I’ve had a chance to become 100% hooked on them … I’m going to do all 24 and make the quilt (which will finish about 56” x 84”).  Here they all are in a little basket …

From Marion we drove down through Delaware to Polaris Parkway and hit the Polaris Mall.  We had been planning on stopping at two other quilt stores but we were running late because of our change in schedule today.  Jon needed some new tennis shoes, so we stopped at Macy’s for those, and then he suggested that we go down to the Pandora store to get me a new bead for our special day!  We left there and headed down to Williams-Sonoma, and then to Bath & Body Works (to get my free item) and then over to Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory before heading out to the car.  We hopped across the street and met my parents at Carrabba’s for dinner (since it was also my Mom’s birthday and they were also down in Columbus shopping at Polaris)

    1. The shop is on the smaller side, but they have so many nice things that I just have to buy!

  2. I have already told hubby about Good Wives and plan a trip there when we go back to Ohio in September. Making one of the pot holder quilts is on my "to do" list. I enjoy seeing your progress and how you are quilting the blocks.
