Uncle Frank’s Socks – Day 1

This is a cute little kit that I got at the Quilt Expo in Cleveland last week.   I was really looking for a lot of Civil War stuff and 1930’s prints.  But both of these categories were in short supply (everything seemed to be batiks).  It’s a small piece … the outer border is only 3½” wide.  The inner (red) border is only 1” wide (½” finished).
