Saturday quilt shopping …

We were heading up to Medina for my brother-in-law’s 34th. birthday party, and my nephew’s 1st. birthday party.  So we decided to do a little quilt shopping before the festivities.  It made for one VERY LONG day.  (but it was fun too!)

We started with an hour and a half drive to Akron to visit A Piece In Time.  We hadn’t been there in a few years …. and they had moved to a new location.  We got a little lost – but eventually found them.  I bought a few things – some really cool ORANGE wood buttons for a purse that I got the fabric for down in Columbus on Friday.

Some thread which *MAY* be used on a quilt for a relative of mine.

… and 3½ yards of pickle green fabric to use with one of my Civil War repro quilts.

… oh, and four fat quarters in Civil War repros …

From there we went to Fabric peddler in Wadsworth, Ohio – and I got a few cute things.  I bought a snowman quilt kit, a magazine and three spools of wool thread.  I have a few colors of it already – but decided to splurge and get olive green, orange and brown!

They don’t have a website – or I’d share it with you.  After that we went to the Little Red Quilt House in Medina.   I only had a very short amount of time to shop – so I picked up a new ruler, a magazine and a couple of yards of fabric.  I will be heading back there – hopefully soon!

And while I’m here … I’ll mention my Pandora passion has continued …  I took my white and green (for St. Patrick’s Day) off and used only the silver beads on my bracelet for Saturday.  It looked really great!

Okay … enough of this … I’m off to the quilt room!
