Two more totes …
Needed to make a couple more of those great roll-up tote bags that I made a few months ago.
The tutorial can be found at …http://zaaberry.blogspot.com/2011/05/tote-tutorial-totorial.html. Or you can do one with ribbon ties which can be found at http://www.needleandspatula.com/2010/11/roll-up-shopping-bag-sewing-tutorial.html. I used the one with the button instructions at zaaberry’s blog.

Speaking of Yellow Brick Road quilts …
I recently recommended the Yellow Brick Road quilt pattern as a good one for beginners. It made me think of all of the different versions of that quilt that I’ve made. There’s actually a Christmas version that I can’t find a good photo for … so there’s yet another one around here. And I’m also missing a photo for the one I did for my Grandma.

Permits, Licenses, Business Cards … Oh My!
The starting of my longarm quilting business is moving along – slowly it seems, but it is moving along. I’ve got my business name registered with the state, I’ve got my batting samples sent off to the lab to be tested so that I can get a permit, I’ve spoken to my local officials and I don’t need a permit locally, I’ve got my FEIN number with the Federal gov’t., my business cards arrived, I’ve got wholesale accounts set up with a couple of suppliers, my brochure is almost finished, the website will be finished by the end of the week … I’m almost there … Just a couple more steps with some gov’t things to take care of and I’ll be up and officially in business!!
Woo Hoo!

Moda Size Matters Blog Hop – Day 5
For some reason one of the shops disappeared off of the blog hop list for today – so there were only two blocks today. :(
Moda Size Matters Blog Hop – Day 4
Yes, these were done before midnight – but I had to finish my chocolate milk before coming in to the computer. :)

Hexagon Pincushion 9/8/13
I’ve had this kit for awhile now – just waiting for me to finish it. I bought the kit and the hardware at Good Wives Co. in Marion, Ohio – my favorite shop! The filling material is crushed walnut shells.

Aiming For Accuracy Quilt-Along – Lesson 11
Here we are at Lesson 11 already. Wow – only a few lessons left! This lesson combined Unit C6 and C10 … the friendship star blocks were the new element added this week.
Dixie Diary BOM–Block 9
Wow – here we are in September already … it doesn’t seem possible does it? The leaves on the tree in the front yard have started falling – a sure sign that mowing season will be coming to a close soon, and my husband’s favorite season (not) of raking leaves is going to be starting soon!
Here’s this month’s installment from the Dixie Diary BOM .. Barbara called this block The Hands of Strangers.
Now off to work on this week’s unit from the Aiming For Accuracy Quilt-Along!
Moda Size Matters Blog Hop – Day 3
I really did get these blocks done before midnight – but I got sidetracked with eBay sales, a strange photo posted on Facebook and a couple of other things. I’m really upset that they’re not posting items over the weekend. I was hoping to have lots to do on Saturday and Sunday!

Moda Size Matters Blog Hop
The Moda Size Matters Blog Hop started Wednesday, and I got started on my blocks despite the fact that my left wrist was really hurting all day (for no apparent reason).

Lincoln’s Logs – Day 1
Couldn’t just stop for the evening … had to start another project! This one is called Lincoln’s Logs from the Civil War Legacies book by Carol Hopkins. I got the book at JoAnn Fabrics on Thursday morning, but the fabric kit came from Paw Patch in Mt. Vernon, Ohio.
All 12 blocks are done. Tomorrow will be sashing strips, borders, etc.
